In 2012, Groupe Chevrillon acquired BBS (Bellonie et Bourdillon and Successeurs), the leader in AOC rum production and farming in Martinique under the Trois Rivières, La Mauny and Duquesne brands.
The company operates 800 acres of land in Southern Martinique in the municipalities of Sainte Luce and Rivière Pilote, producing top-shelf rum. BBS keeps stocks of older vintages aged in unique oak barrels, producing about 3 million liters of 55% rum per year.
The company employs 150 people, mostly in Martinique.
The aim of the Groupe Chevrillon is to turn BBS into one of the leaders of the spirits industry in France. Sold in 2019 to Campari Group.
